Home Visit Consultation
A doctor comes to you — home or work.
- ✔ Matching if you’re within 10 km
- ✔ No travel & no queues
- ✔ Digital prescriptions & sick notes
After a clinic, home, phone or video consultation, your doctor may send you a prescription or sick note digitally when needed.
MzansiDoctors gives patients simple ways to get non-emergency healthcare from registered practitioners, whether care is planned or needed sooner.
Choose a doctor, consultation type, date and available time for planned care. Depending on the practitioner, appointments may be in person, by scheduled video consultation or by scheduled phone consultation.
Doctor Now is for patients who want to request an available practitioner without waiting for a future appointment slot. Patients can request a home visit, video consultation or phone consultation, depending on the doctor, location and service availability.
We aim for an available Doctor Now practitioner to respond in about 5 minutes. Actual response time can vary with practitioner availability, consultation type, location, network conditions and demand.
Where available, a practitioner can travel to the patient's location for a home visit. Home-visit availability depends on the doctor's active service area and travel radius.
Patients can consult remotely when the selected practitioner supports video or phone care. This is useful for appropriate non-emergency concerns that do not require an immediate physical examination.
The MzansiDoctors mobile experience brings doctor search, Doctor Now requests, scheduled bookings, consultation status and account information together in one place so patients can access care wherever they are.
Supported consultations are paid securely through the platform. Medical Aid options may be available where the patient and consultation meet the applicable requirements.
After a consultation, a practitioner may issue clinically appropriate documents such as prescriptions, medical certificates or referrals. The practitioner remains responsible for deciding whether a document is medically appropriate.
MzansiDoctors is designed for non-emergency care. For a serious or life-threatening emergency, call 112 or 10177, or go to the nearest emergency facility.
